Todays hike

Hit the hills in the Mica Peak area today...winter was brutal in this particular area looked like a graveyard with the amount of bones and hides I saw..managed to find 2 old sheds :( some pics

I thought I woulda found some browns tho... I had a huge pile of alfalfa up there in Dec..thought I woulda found some browns around the vicinity..the dead 4 was about 300 yards from it..never had him on cam last year..I was looking for the mystical 8x8 I have been told about in there that I have yet to see or get pics of...I think the landowners are exaggerating  :chuckle:

Good finds!! Sure are lots of whitetail winter kills this year.. Need some cat control..

 :yeah: Amen! I would bet most of those ain't because of the winter, but tooth and fangs.

That alfalfa was out long before snow hit... only time supplemental feeding is harmful is when deer are in starvation mode. There isn't a cat issue in this area..I haven't cut a track in this particular area .. they received 30" snow in a week in late November last year in the lowest elevation ..not good
