The ears appear to be on the top of the head not the sides as shown in the 3rd picture.  That is generally an indication of a smaller bear.  I would guess that 150 would be the top end for that bear.  More likely smaller than that.  Just my opinion based on ones I've seen live.  I could be wrong.

I've looked over litteraly hundreds of bears while hunting and one thing I've learned is that they are real hard to judge the size of. In a pic through brush? I'd give an educated guess of between 90-300lbs.  :chuckle:

these bears have been in this area for over a year now that i know of since i just started hunting here in WA.  How much do you think they will grow between now and season? Ive read every post on bear hunting but i am still having a really hard time telling how big a bear is and how much it might weigh. i thought that they were younger bears. I'm hopin that at least 1 of them is still there come season

join the crowd....as stated, judging bears is tough. The only way, IMO to get better at judging is to be out there and look at as many bears as posible. Kinda hard from a pic but I think the one in the last pic would suit just fine for your first bear. 120lbs. :twocents:

I just got done setting my trail cams at the meat hole.  Two weeks from now I will drive back up and check them.  Hoping to get get some shots like yours.  What did you use to attract the bears?
