My 2nd attempt.
« on: May 21, 2011, 05:23:51 PM »
I like this Corsican Ram even more than the Bobcat.  This is actually 2 different rams.  The horns came off the first Ram I ever shot, but it's cape was really messed up so I ended up shooting a second Ram that had a much better cape.  2nd Ram had a ton of battle scars on him and even lost half his left ear.  Adds character though.  I have a ways to go before I am completely happy with mounting mammals, but since I am self taught, I can't really complain.  Unfortunately, my freezer is now empty......is it hunting season yet?

Where did you shoot that ram at?  When i was stationed in Cali they had several areas you could hunt certain species of rams. Good job on the mount!

Not bad for a second attempt. Referance pics are key and can really help out with a mount especially when your first starting out.
