Private Land in 454
« on: May 11, 2011, 11:16:33 PM »
I recently obtained access to a small piece of private land in 454 that holds elk and deer and was looking to set out bait to get my site started.  I have never hunted with a bow before so I am looking for suggestions as to what types of bait other people on the west side of the mountains have been successful using?  Also any tips on cameras would be appreciated as I am looking to buy one of those also.  I look forward to your comments and ideas.

PM sent....

There is a lot of great information on some of the other treads that you may find that will help you in what you are looking for as you are aware of that. Check out the Trail Cam threads and look at the pics that are sent in and you may find what you are looking for. I have some pics posted there of some Yotes and deer. If you find a camera that you like and let it soak for a couple of weeks post as you get them and enjoy surfing through your pic.

How much you willing to pay? Best for size, long lasting battery life, memory capacity, would be Bushnell Trophy($180-220 approx). If you want to spend more for a real good american made cam go with Reconyx(approx $400) and american made. Get a security box. Apples and mineral blocks.
