sendero 300 RUM
« on: May 15, 2011, 01:40:11 PM »
finally got to get out and shoot my sendero,
 and it is sweet!
i took a box of factory power level 3 180 grain sciraccos and a few different hand loads to try.
handloads are definitely the way to go. the first handload i tried was a 210 berger with 90 grains retumbo and it shot a 100 yard 3 shot group that i can easily cover with a quarter. i shot a group with 92 grains retumbo, still under an inch but not as good. 200 grain accubonds went 1.5 inches.

then i decided it wont get much better than the bergers with 90 grains retumbo.  cant wait till i can get out with the chrono and check speed and figuring out a drop chart for long range shooting. just wanted to share.
