my vizsla is the perfect house dog. when he is in the house, he walks, he doesnt run, he is quiet and calm, only barks when there is somebody at the door, and even gets along with the cats. sometimes, i dont even know he is in the same room as i am, and he is only a year and a half old. sleeps on the bed too. open the gun cabinet and touch the shotgun.... game over- all reason goes out the door. he has his game face on the moment you look at the 12....of course no two dogs are the same...
I think you'll find that once you get her hunting hard, really runnin her, then you'll have less issues at home. Your dog will figure out the difference if you work her hard enough. If not, then she'll be bored and you'll have issues again.
My black lab is a great family dog around the house. That is until she sees the shotgun pulled out of the gun case, then it is all business from there. She absolutely knows from that point on that things are about to get serious...
