Heard of and saw very few caught on the lower Sky.
Nothin but boat problems for me. Ran ok last night....wouldn't start this morning. Ethanol in the fuel caused the rubber on the needle jet to deform/come apart causing it to flood.....ugh......luckily Sky Valley Marine had the part and I was back on the water.....now it has a low throttle miss....carb out again for an even more thorough cleaning....think I got her fixed but ran out of day light. Theres always tomorrow. Good luck to everyone.

Rivers around me won't open till Satuday. I almost fished one the other night and was reminded by a guy that I asked to go along that it was closed. :bdid:

Thinking about fishing the upper skagit by rockport. Heard the kings were pretty thick up by the hatchery. Anyone heading up there soon????

I've been up there 3 of the last 5 days. Wednesday was great, lots of kings and a couple late winter steelhead. Each day since then its gone downhill. The river is CRYSTAL clear right now, hopefully after this hot weather we get some murk in the water, that will help the fishing up there. Yesterday there were tons of boats as well. Probably saw 15+ sleds and 8-10 driftboats
I hunt, therefore I am.... I fish, therefore I lie.

So I have decided to go to the cascade river instead. Heard that a few people where catching them there too.

Feel like a dork for asking, but i cannot find the skagit or the cascade rivers in the fishing regs, not under west side rivers anyways, wondering when they close for chinook retention.

I think they started a new section for the Puget Sound rivers. look back in the regs a few more pages. I think they have yellow trim.

I did the same thing. I freaked when I couldn't find the Nisqually.
