Thanks man - yeah I like the Kimber too. I do want to change the sights on it though. They do not have any white dots and are just plain black. I'm guess that is since it has the laser maybe? And I cant believe how long the sights on the Sig glow! It has been put away in the pitch black in my safe for 2-3 days since the day I got it and they are still glowing bright! It is amazing! The sights on my S&W MP40 are usually dead after a few hours.

That's  because your Sig uses tritium sights and your MP40 has some kind of glow sights. You could put that Sig in total darkness for 5 years and pull it out and the sights would still be glowing bright!

Wow really ? Thats freaking amazing...

The Gambler version is sweet  - I almost got that one but decided on the 2 tone since I really liked the looked with the rosewood and since it was similar to my Kimber. I love the gold inlays and the cards on top look really cool too. There was another version that was considering at one point but I dont remember what it was now. Anyway, your gambler is really cool.

That's a negative. the M&P use Trijicon Novak Night Sights "also tritium" thought of as the best on the market. He clearly has a default in craftsmanship or after market sights. I own 3 M&P's and 3 Sig's. all great guns both great night sights. The Sig's sights are actually made by meprolite. Also a good brand. i have had a problem with the elevation adjustment coming lose on my p226 elite black 357Sig

I would not use night sights on that gun, they are harder to pick up in day light. Its a rather small caliber so since most evenings are usually spent at home a larger caliber and longer barreled gun is what i would save the night sights for.

Well then I probably screwed up the sights on my MP - they are the stock sights but I dont know if they came with night sights or not. And now reading this I dont really want to admit what I did next.... but I had some of that fancy sight-glo paint in the little tiny bottles that costs like 10-15 bucks each and I was putting some of it on one of my other pistols and decided to "enhance" the dots on my MP before even checking to see if they glowed in the 1st place...  :bash:    :spank_butt:

But I had it for quite awhile and never noticed (or bothered to check for that matter) if they glowed - so I am just going to say they didnt to make myself feel better. Right up until someone comes on here and tells me "All the S&W MP's come stock with the tritium sights" - then I guess I'll go back to feeling really stupid..... (I hope thats not what CF already said above.....) The sights were just little holes painted white, they didnt look like little clear 'tubes' or however you explain it like the Sig does.

And the sights on this little Sig are big white dots that seem pretty easy to see in daylight indoors.  :dunno: I'll have to take it outside and see how in looks in bright light.

There's more than a dozen different versions of the P-238.  If you 'google'    SigSauer P-238
you will find them listed and a picture and info. on each one of them.

I figured he had aftermarket sights on it, either that or he had left it in total darkness in his safe for so long that it cried out all of the tritium :P
The reason there are so many Ruger upgrades is because they're necessary.
