shed hunting in yakima?

Snakes - really??  I HATE SNAKES!!!   
I have hunted the Naches area for over 20 years and have never seen a snake.  Just wondering if this is  joke to discourage people or if indeed I need to be on the look out    

What time of the year are you hunting?  Late fall and winter they are pretty much dormant.

didn't end up going shed hunting but came to find out that her family (my in-laws-to-be) have a cabin right off of hwy 12 near Rimrock.

looks like i have some exploring to do before next hunting season... Oak Creek here i come!

I found a nice 6 pt shed during late archery elk on an open hill side that I spotted from 50 yds off a very oft traveled trail. Keep looking!

2 years ago during the Elk muzzy season, found a small 6pt in an opening th size of a football field.  Oak Creek might get picked over pretty good, but if you get away from the roads, there are still sheds to find.
