Where would you use your elk tag if you drew. The tag season is Sept 1 - Dec 31 for any unit that is open with any weapon.  I would hunt the Clockum 328 on the east side , west side I thinking Margaret.

West Goat Rocks or Margaret (West)

As far as I know Mill Creek is out of the question. You have to have a special permit from the forest service and the water shed is completely off limits any other time. They will ticket you and revoke your tag if you get caught in there before the season even if you are scouting. You can be outside the unit but don't cross the boundry trail.  :bdid:
