a question about stolen cams

i see all these cams being stolen on here. how many of you are chaining, useing a cable or bear box on your cams. im not trying to be a smart A, but i  realy wont to know. are people cutting chains or cables, are they ripping bear boxs off trees or are your cams just strapped on. no need for long storys, just a, yes i use a....  or, no just strap it.  thanks

I use a bear box and python cable but no one has found my camera yet.

Got one stolen last year.   It was just strapped to a tree - public property.    Bummed me out.

Not locked to the tree! I just set mine up last night with lock and braided cable!

My friends camera was stolen and it was locked to a tree with a lock and cable.

I use a bear box with two 3inch lag bolts and a cable. Haven't had one stolen yet, but I have had pictures of other people and know that they had to have seen my camera. Maybe im lucky and they have all been true sportsmen!

True Sportsmen!  that's great...I know there are some out there.  I had a guy wave and do a thumbs up on my camera.  I later saw him in the field...I let him know I got him on my camera and he was thrilled.  It sucks that a few can ruin it for us all.

after i posted this i got a call from a budy who, after 2 months with a solar backup, got everything ripped off the tree. it was scewed to the tree somehow and they still got it.  i have 3 of my own up right now with chains on them. hope the are still there next week.

mine are screwed to the tree inside a box i built.with a good hardened steel padlock.it would take some work to get them off hopefully no one wants to work that hard for it.

Lag bolted mine to a tree in an old electrical switch box I modified.  Not worried though--I'm probably the only human that's been there in 35 years since the last time I hunted the spot.

I have had multiple cams either stolen or tampered with. I going to build a lock box for mine.

Just strap it.  Its cheap and I figure if someone really wants it, they'll get it.

Mine that was stolen a couple years back was locked in a bear box and the bear box was lag bolted into a downed tree.  I found the lag bolts snapped.

I just strap mine i figure if they want it theyll have or they will just jabb a stick though the lense or mash it with a rock, so i figure they can just have it some one might as well enjoy my pictures.


So no no strap lol
