Hood Canal will reopen to recreational
spot shrimp fishing for one more day

Action: Recreational spot shrimp fishing will reopen in Hood Canal for one additional day, Wednesday, June 22, 2011.

Effective dates:   Wednesday, June 22, 2011, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Species affected: Spot shrimp.

Location:   The Hood Canal Shrimp District.

Reason for action:   Sufficient recreational spot shrimp quota remains in this area for one more weekday of fishing.

Other information:   Marine areas 7 and 9 will be open for spot shrimp fishing on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 as well. In addition, the southern portion of Marine Area 7 will be open on June 24 and 25.
