Picked up a M70
« on: June 19, 2011, 02:38:58 PM »
A buddy found this at cabelas and told me about it.  I have seen these sell for $1000 - $1200 on gunbroker when you can find one, which isn't very often.  I paid a whole lot less than $1000 for it.  Almost felt like I was doing something wrong when I bought it cause it was so cheap.  Almost forgot to mention that its a 25wssm.  Now I have an antelope gun if I can get drawn.

Yes I do.  Or I should say I pickup everything and come up with the load I want then I have my dad load it for me.  I already picked up dies, brass, and bullets.  Not sure what powder I'm going to use yet.  And I need to pick out a scope for it.

Very nice. If it shoots as good as it looks it will be a keeper.

Sounds like fun! I like building a new rifle! All I can say as far as optics go, put a Leupold on it, you have a great rifle top it with a great scope!

every once and awhile the american companies like to toss a little craftsmanship or inginuity into one of their rifles and this time they definately came out with a fine looking rifle. Good buy.

skip the leopould and slap a sworovski on that bad boy.

maybe some day they'll come out with a line of forged receivers again lol.
"Right now, I am thinking that If my grandmother was here, she would be lecturing me about how there are poor people in Africa, that would just love to have a Ruger, I would just say "Great, granny, lets just ship all the Rugers to Africa!"

Loving life in the Great Northwest one day at a time.

It sounds like it's time to get a new gun.
