How's the roads on the St. Joe?

Elkinrut, do u mean unit 7 and 9 in Idaho Q. I would call Wallace and avery town gas station ask them about conditions. I have went there a lot maybe 9 trips each spring but I haven't went this spring.
Hope it help. I think Machias has some infos since he been checking out where to go for himself too.

I know the St. Joe is running hard and fast right now, but know nothing about the roads... Yeah, call the Avery FS office, they will know for sure.

Just talked to a friend who lives in St Maries, and he said there is not many open non-snow covered roads in the uper Joe right now.

I got to 4,800 feet in my suburban before I was forced to turn around on a north face last sunday. That is not very high for the area. The river has recessed to high bank level.

i was working up hugus ck about a month ago and most the roads there were in decent shape until the ridge road. if you are trying to get in up bluff ck or anywhere up past avery snow will probably get in your way although i havent had to go up there yet this yr

big snow pack at 4,600 ft and higher still... a few big wash outs that will not get repaired this year.
