Anybody running one of these? I've got a Scoutguard 550 I've had for 3 years and really like but I've got a couple gift cards for Cabelas and they dont carry SG. Chasingame's review on this camera was ok. What kind of battery life are you getting? Any issues with the X6C?

I can't answer your question about the X6C, but I do know that Cabelas will special order items that they don't normally carry. I did that a couple years ago- had a gift card for a couple hundred bucks, and wanted to buy an Eberlestock backpack. This was before we had the store here in Lacey but I contacted Cabelas just to find out if perhaps they did have the pack but it just wasn't in the cataglog. Well, they said that no, they did not have it, but would special order it for me so I could use my gift card.

I got one I like it. Great picture quality, the camo and size of the camera is hard for people to see, motion is ok, range is decent, quicker trigger speed, average battery 8AA, wish it took multi pictures. Here's a couple photos. I just got the new Archer's choice stealth cam and am waiting to see how it does in the field.

I got one late last year. I was extremely happy with it until the temperatures started to drop down in the low 20's or so. Had trouble with battery life below that.
I ran it on video mode for a while this spring and thought it did pretty well and it is very easy to set up. I was happy with both the day and night picture quality, and the small size is nice when you have been carrying big cameras full of D cell batteries for years. I'll try to post a video if I can get it figured out.

I bought one and ran in in the front yard when it was in the low teens at night. Good pix and very good battery life. Liked it so well I bought another one. They can be had for less that $100 including shipping. Here are a couple pix.

Thanks for all the feedback and posting the pics, i was really leaning towards the Archer's Choice but back to undecided between the two again now. Cabela's wants $169 for the Archer's Choice but Optics Planet has it for $139 so after reading the price matching thread I think I'll be trying that first and see what they do.

Here is a review from chasing game. (I think he also has a review for the other camera you are looking at) After reading this review and looking at reviews on Cabelas/Bass Pro I bought a couple for this season.

Amongst cheaper cameras I have also heard great things about the Primos Truthcam 35....and as a bonus you generally can't beat Primos customer service.

there good cams and take great pics but from what I have noticed that its better to have something for the critter to stop and check out so it will get a decent pic, alot of my winter muley pics were blurry but thats because they were set on trails where the deer were walking or running through.

Going back through some pics, I'd have to agree with that statement...

Yeah I think most, if not all, trail cameras have relatively slow shutter speeds so any movement will result in somewhat blurry pictures.
