I was lucky enough to be drawn for a archery quality elk permit for the mudflow unit. I guess I am wondering what kind of information pack the wdfw will be sending me.

Do they send packets with all permits? I drew toutle and didn't expect a packet. The three MH permits I drew I did get packets so maybe they always do.

I received my special hunt permit card in the mail and that was it. This was for an archery elk tag in the blues last year.

You should only get a card on most the permits. With the oils you have to buy the tag and get some info. In some areas you might get a packet showing open roads and such, not sure what ones.

I never got any info. I did however request info from a national park in/near a hunting area and got a packet of info. Don't know if you can request that sort of thing from the wilderness areas or if they even have it.
Whack em' and stack em'.

as a heads up if your hunting the area and the land gets shut down due to fire hazard, which it did in a past experience for us, you still get to hunt there. they kick everyone else out but youll still be able to go in.
