Skykomish river fishing

River is running almost double what it normally is this time of year. Clarity isn't horrible though. Find a pocket or somewhere out of the main flow where they can rest and you might have a shot at one. I would wait for it to drop a bit if I you have that option.

The places I mentioned are Past the town of Goldbar. The first bridge you cross after Goldbar is High Bridge(parking on South side of HWY 2), a 1/2 mile past that is the railroad bridge where you park on the West side of the bridge and there is a path to the river. Another 3/4 past the railroad bridge is Reiter at the top of the hill and the starting of the East bound 4 lanes is a parking spot. Walk across the tracks and there is a path to the river where u fish 1500' above the ponds on the other side of the river.

Thanks Sky...  But looking at the river it might be a waste of gas.  But on the other hand it is dropping which always is a good time to fish.

Just came back from Cable tonight and we did'nt touch a fish. We were fishing in tight with bait, jigs, and spoons and got the big skunk. The rivers got that glacier look to it and it's way up in the bushes. I seen one fish roll about five feet off the bushes. I caught a 9 pound dolly on Tuesday night with a spoon. Thats nine pounds after I bled it and gilled it and I weighed it about 3 hours later. The state record is a 10 pound fifteen ounce caught off a tributary from the Sauk.
