Lake Roosevelt Fishing
« on: July 01, 2011, 08:54:35 AM »
Think of Lake Roosevelt and most likely you'll vision trolling for kokanee near Keller or jigging the mouth of the Spokane for walleye. There are times when bank fishing is GREAT. Cool evening pic.

Very nice picture!!! My cabin is just a short ways from you and you are correct-bank fishing on Lake Roosvelt can be great!!!  Most under used lake in the state-during the drawdown this spring, bank fishing was particualarily good and the fish were averaging over 1lbs each.  Nice thing about it is the whole east side of the lake is public with plenty of places to fish. Rarely do we see all the campgrounds full once you get past Porcupine Bay.

No I think of Big Rainbows in Febuary and March.
The only man who never makes a mistake, is the man who never does anything!!
The further one goes into the wilderness, the greater the attraction of its lonely freedom.

I do a lot of fishing from the bank. A few good fish and some good glassing at animals that won't be there when you go across to find them.  :chuckle:
Just one more day
