I have to say that it is nice to know that there is an organization out there that is really fighting for issues that matter to our sport. I have always seen discussions on this forum about issues that are problems with hunting in our state such as night hunting questions. Well I found out that the WPHA is actually going to bat for all of us West side and East side. I found out that they actually meet with the game department and help them improve the regulations. I know things are tight for a lot of us but, for $20 a year you can help protect your hunting rights. People give money all the time to Good National causes like the NRA or the Rocky Mountain Elk foundation both are great but, its nice to put money to something local where you can actually speak to the leadership of the organization and see the work they are doing. I'm just saying next time you look to give to something look into the Washington Predator Hunting Association its $20 for a year. PS at the first meeting I got two calls a lanyard and a FOXPRO hat as a door prize all well worth more that $20.

What he is after is having to win it, to conquer the surly brute through his own effort and skill with all the extras that this carries with it: the immersion in the countryside, the healthfulness of the exercise, the distraction from his job." • Team I'M TOO OLD FOR THIS $H!T !
I was there too, and can only agree with jayrod's post.  Good to meet some of the guys I've bantered with on this site, and hope it gets going over on this side.  I won the nice lanyard with the two wwpha #1&2 calls.  It's phenominal for me to win anything, and it was a pleasant surprise being the call freak that I am!  Definitely a worthwhile organization, and they'll be getting another member soon.
If it was easy, everybody would be doing it.

When Bernie Madoff did it, it's called a "Ponzi Scheme"
When Government does it, it's called "Social Security"

The meetings are going to be held all over the state. As for your daughter that is exactly what the WPHA is about preserving the sport starts with getting young people involved. After going to the meeting and meeting the people involved I know they would be happy to answer any questions and may set up some buddy hunts with other kids to help bring our sport to a whole new level. Just go to the site and get registered.

I just wanted to jump in here and "THANK" everyone that took the time to come to Moses Lake and attend the initial meeting of the Washington Predator Hunting Association on the other side of the hills.  I was honored to be with such a group of great folks that are looking forward to many more chances to get over there and meet with you all and do some more calling (notice I did not say killing  :chuckle:)
BUTCHER98951:  Please go to our web site and check us out.  We look forward to having kids involved in our sport as they are the future of it.  We need their involvement.  And yes, we do offer kids memberships.
JAYROD9528:  Thanks for the kind words.  I was great to hit the fields with you.  We got to do it again...

Again, thanks to all that attended from all points of the state.  We, as a state wide association can accomplish great things...

Great meeting, nice to meet everyone.  On the way home Trooper and I were discussing the future of the WPHA and he thinks it is pretty good and is looking forward to meeting more of the folk over there.  I agree with him.

We did a little fishing on Friday and didn't do too well, only caught one smallmouth but did get to see every make model and year of personal water vehicles produced.

Went out with the camera Sat morning and called in a pair, one to about 30yrds but wouldn't hold still long enough to get a picture the other hung out about 150 on the ridge and ran back and forth giving me heck after the first one busted me.  Troopy thought it was pretty dumb going out with a camera instead of a gun.  He got over it after I reminded him that the state says if I take a gun he has to stay in the van.

Randy picked a great location, one of the fireman is an old hunting partner that I've lost track of over the years.  I think we'll be getting together this fall for a hunt.

Great time except for getting thrown out of the RV park, didn't even get to have a beer, they didn't like my boat.
