I've seen maybe a couple dozen around tri-cities. the last was about two weeks ago. It was fighting with a cat in the middle of the road. i had to stop and rub my eyes. It was barely bigger than the cat.

I was down at the river a couple of years ago shooting my bow on a course I made and a black fox, which I guess is a color variation of a red, came out at right by my target. He took off as I was drawing. Damn things are tiny and I probably would have missed anyway.

Theres' getting to be more and more around here, especially in and around town.

haven't seen any here but in TN I had one walk right up to me when I was bow hunting at about 6 ft he kept trying to play with me jumping back and forth around a bush I was leaning against and I tried to shoo him away but he wouldn't leave ended up shooting him from about 10 ft and he ran across the field and jumped in a hole before he died...so much for bowhunting he was a pretty cool looking red.

Never taken one in this state.  But when we were kids my cousin caught a pup by the Black Lake firestation (Thurston Co.)
He asked, Do you ever give a short simple answer?  I replied, "Nope."
