anyone know where a guy could get a wasps nest to use as part of a bear mount?  i thought van dykes had them, but no love there...

You might try contacting some of the hornet control guys in your area and see if they know of any.  There is a guy in my area that takes hornets but I don't think he takes the nest; if there is someone in your area doing this kind of work, maybe they could let you know when they get called out to a large nest and then you can see if you can get it.  Just a thought. 

Maybe Gutpile will have an idea on who to contact?

No of one in the brush, going up there tomorrow to scout ill send you a pm if its still there. But it is occupied with them white faced hornets and they are no joke! You will probably have to wait till october to snag it.
You can say the early bird gets the worm, but the second mouse always gets the cheese!
