Choking a single shot 20 ga
« on: July 09, 2011, 11:50:16 AM »
So the H&R 20 ga that i bought is a standard full choke with no threads for adding a different choke....Anyone have any ideas of how I can choke this thing without being to expensive?.....I was either thinking of tapping it to a common choke threading, not sure what else is out there.....For what it is, it is not worth sinking a bunch of $$$ into, but thought someone may have done this in the past...

I saw a woman wearing a sweat shirt with "Guess" on it...so I said "Implants?"

You have a couple of choices.

1.   You can have the choke opened to fixed choke of your choice.  Kesselring will do that for about $85

2.   You can have it fitted for removable chokes which will cost you quite a bit more.

I am thinking that I will take option C and maybe just start looking for a quality shotgun with multiple chokes.. :chuckle:....This was kinda a impulse buy so I don't feel like I am out much, and besides...You can never have to many firearms, Right?

Or you can send it back to H&R and they will put on a vent rib barrel with screw in chokes for 85 bucks http://www.hr1871.com/Support/accessoryProgram.asp
