Is there many public areas in this unit, feel free to hunt etc?  Planning on deer hunting this unit this year and want to do some research.

I have seen some Feel Free Hunt Property but the majority is Private Wheat Ranchers that are tight knit with family hunting on their ground. My suggestion is to take a drive in the unit, knock on doors and ask permission. My group hunts on Private ground along the Snake River. A lot of deer in the area and some big bucks too.
Nothing like a Remington model 700xcr.
