Sekiu Report
« on: July 16, 2011, 08:16:36 PM »
Quick report - fished it hard this morning starting at about 4:30am. We had one kind break us off because of a bad rats nest in a reel first thing in the morning. Caught 2 other king's but they had to be tossed back b/c they were native. Beside that we slayed the pinks. They are hot up there and BIG and they FIGHT good! We limited no problem on them by 9am and were still bringing them in every 5 minutes. Fished everywhere from 120ft and up.

The checker at the dock said between all the docks only 20 King's had come in by 1:30pm, probably saw 75-100 boats out there.

Thanks for the report.  I am thinking of goingup there for a few days.  Were there any silvers being caught?

I fished opening day up there and probably caught 50 kings and some pinks and I did manage to catch a coho although fishing the sound has been good I caught a wild 30 pounder just to watch it get sealed when I was letting it In the water it almost snatched it from my hands but any way if you are going up use a coho killer around 60 ft of water between musilini point and the caves hope you have a good trip

Didn't hear or see any silvers caught yet. Good luck!

Thanks guys.  I think I will wait one more week and see if they are in.  I have some scouting to do as well.  Thanks again.
