Storage Totes

Just curious what you all use for storing and transporting your camp stuff? Right now I have 2 ea 40 gal Target brand rubbermaid style storage totes. They are great for storing LOTS of "STUFF" (Maybe a little too much stuff), but you do have to dig around allot to get to the crap on the bottom. Since I am trying to streamline and reduce the amount of crap I bring up to camp, just wondering if you guys have any specific types of totes that you use. I also use my old Army Duffel Bag for clothing items (Told ya I pack allot of crap).

Since I am on the subject of streamlining and packing to much crap, this is my Base List for hunting/camping. I take items off of it depending on the type of hunt I am doing.

Stuff comes and goes off of and onto the list throughout the year. This is my yearly process getting my Pack list together and putting my wish list together (New totes are on the list this year). Getting antsy to get out and hunt, so what the hell, might as well start getting organized. Besides I will probably pack/unpack my gear about 10 times between now and then!

Curious why you carry a bore sighter, electrical tape and boot laces in your daypack. Seems odd. Bad experience? Here's what's in my hunting pack most days if you found me in the timber.
Lock back knife on pack belt.

I use totes as well for transporting my camp gear including food with lids that latch. Clothes go into a duffel bag. I've trimed down what clothes I take for a 7-10 hunt now. I used to take a huge arse duffel bag for them. Now just a medium sized one.

I use the clear totes, you can tell what is in them at a glance (even though I label them as well) They stack well for packing in your hunting rig. They come in all sizes, if you measure the interior of your rig, you can find a size that fits the way you pack efficiently.
I take four:
one for dry foods,
one for cooking utencils/supplies,
one is hunting gear, and
one for camping supplies.

Curious why you carry a bore sighter, electrical tape and boot laces in your daypack. Seems odd. Bad experience?

The bore sighter just in case I fall and bang my scope. I had a rather nasty fall once. I was able to save my rifle but a buddy of mine mentioned that he carried his (The bullet style) just in case of such an accident.

Electrical tape. After I tag an animal, I use the tape to secure my tag to the Rack. Plus, it's a MUCH better tape for medical uses. I love the stuff, and have found a number of uses for it!

Boot Laces. As a light Cav Army dude, I have learned that boot laces can break at the worst time possible. Since my Uncle Murphey is always with me I figure it's just one more thing that he can't gig me on.

I should probably just get a smaller duffel and that might force me to downsize. Sounds like you have a good packlist.
