Washington Trapping Association Workshop?
« on: August 09, 2011, 12:47:21 PM »
Hi,

I am interested in learning how to trap.  Does anyone know if the WA. State Trapping Association is holding a workshop at the end of this month to help one pass the exam?  I recall reading somewhere that they hold an annual workshop in late August.

Thanks for any tips you can provide an absolute novice.  The coon I got last year was a way cool experience.  Shot it with my shotgun out by Granite Falls.

Cheers!

- Jg

Trapper Education training is on saturday Aug 28th from 9:30-12:00.You will take the class and be given the test in this time frame. The rendezvous is being held in Omak, Wa at the Omak stampede grounds. Come for the day, camp out whatever you like. Lots of good demos on Sat also, some even on sunday. But Saturday is the main day. Actually things kick of on friday, but its pretty much a social time. Any questions ask away.

Awesome!  Lord willing, I'll see you guys in Omak.  I just came back home to Seattle through Omak (was visiting a friend who has a cabin in the Okanogan).

I checked the calendar and Saturday is the 27th... is that the day of the training or is that Sunday the 28th?  Also, do I need to sign up somewhere in order to insure a spot in the class?

Thanks!!!
