Sorry about short notice by my entire hunting party bailed out on me this year.  I plan to hunt in the Okanagan NF area.  Archery for 3p or better buck or anterless opens Sept 16th and bear is opens soon.  Last year I had my greatest day every shot a muley doe in the morning with my bow and a huge chocolate color phase bear in the evening of the same day.  I won't say were but it a sure thing for getting your deer with a bow.  You have to be a pretty lousy shot.  In 8 days we saw 7 bears 4 of them color phase.  I have a 28 foot trailer i take and will be taking my motorcycle.  It is a perfect area for those monster sized ATV quads.  Miles and Miles of forest service roads that are legal for non licensed vehicles on the off shoot roads that are inaccessable by cars because they are blocked by a dirt berm.  However you can easily ride over them and some go for 7-9 miles of forest that sees few people.  I bring a chest freezer to keep the boned out meat in and run it long enough each day to keep mee frozen.  lt me know if anyone is up for this trip.  i would like someone with a toy hauler to bring their quad and hall my motorcyle for me.  its awsome thunting and 4 star accomidations.  i can abut guarntee a der and best chance for abear i have found so far

That sucks Ken.  What day are you heading out?  My hunting buddies and I will be in the Winthrop area on the 14 or 15th after we bag an elk!

I just put in my leave request.  My plan is to leave on the 15th arrive set up camp do a short scouting ride and bear hunt and hit it friday for the deer.  I am trying to stick something with antlers this year.  If I have not had any luck after 3 or 4 days I probably will fill my tag with a doe so I can concentrate on bear hunting for the remainder of the trip.

I should add I live in Olympia area and need somebody from around here that will be able to meet up with me and travel over back and forth on the dates 9-15 to 9-25.  I have motorcycle that I need somebody to haul for me on atv or flatbed trailer.  Bring your atv, quad, or motorcycle along.  you could hunt using only a pick up but would have to walk and not cover quite as much territory.  i have a hitch receiver by montorcycle carrier that you could attach and bring my bike along.  Stay in my trailer for the duration.  i have the area scouted pretty well so you would not have to go up there blind.  plenty of area to hunt together for animals or take off and be several ridges apart.  again nice thing i see very few other hunters or people in this area.  that also is the bad thing.  i have diabetes and although very stable i am still a little leary about hunting alone especially in such a remote area.
