Just browsed their site. Looks like an attractive offer. Nice property. I also like the fact that they show big bucks, small deer, and a little buck that a young man killed. Probably very representative of what they have walking around. You'll have to keep us posted along with pics and a full write up in the end. Good luck and have a great hunt.

Thanks.

Sounded actually really good. Archery only, 2nd year in operation and we all know that area is prime for white tail and bear. Wanting to keep the guys there limited, and pushing for ethical hunters.. a nice semi guided budget type of deal.

Looking forward to it.

This may be a dumb question and I could be blind, but I can't find on the site where they hunt out of??  Looks like its got potential to be a real nice outfitter though.

Not a dumb quesiton..but of all the things they do have on their web site, the location is not specifically listed.

They are located just outside of Barstow.

Great place and great hunting. I have dealt with the guy in charge several times and they know there stuff. Its not fully guided but they will put you on deer or whatever it is your looking to hunt. Feel free to give them a call and they will get you taken care of. I live about 1.5 hours from there and its a damn nice area.

To MDGRAND:  Hi there, I read your post above: I also booked a hunt for the deer archery opener at Gallo Springs...guess I will see you there! I plan on arriving on Aug. 31st early afternoon. The ranch looks like there is a good variety of terrain.

2 exciting events lead up to me booking this hunt:  I won a Hoyt bow at a raffle, AND I was drawn for a multi-season deer tag, all within several months.  I figured with that much luck, I'd better get my little butt somewhere good to hunt!  Never been a bow hunter, but I have been practicing all summer so looking forward to a great experience and some quiet time.  My husband is jealous -- he has to stay home with the dogs!  :IBCOOL:

Cheers!  AMM

Congrats on winning the Hoyt!

I will actually be up there a few weeks later, weekend of the 17th.

SO...

I expect a FULL report and for you to leave the biggest bucks for me :)

Good luck!
