I will report back, hopefully with a successful outing.  I have no delusions about a big buck, so you don't have to worry, I'm sure they will all still be there when you go.  Cheers!

I headed up to Gallo this last weekend to get the tour and help set up some stands and get some stuff ready for the opener. Gotta say it is one of the coolest places I have ever seen. And the deer, they are everywhere. We saw them mid day in the fields or just walking around we would run into them bedded down. I would not worry to much on which spot to hunt since all the stands and blinds are in prime locations. And the cabins are very nice to boot. Good luck to you all and probably will see you up there opening weekend.

If there is a bass in it I will catch it.

Wow, I did not realize you were going up there to actually help set up. That's awesome. Maybe I could help out there next year.

I will thank you in advance for your work, and am very excited about this.  The land owners are extremely generous and I hope they realize how greatly appreciated people like me (who need support and just beginning) are to have this kind of access.  Thank You, Thank You, Thank You  :)

You will have a blast, lots of 20-30 yard shots to be had and more then enough deer to go around.

Best of luck to you and hope you enjoy it.

What a deal! I am going to call them now and see if they have any more spots, anybody else wanna go in?

Big bump. No reports from this? No pics of dead deer with massive racks? No stories? No reviews?

Another bump to this. Would love to hear a report from someone who's hunted the place. I'm thinking of booking with them for the late bow season.

yep! Barstow. Just past kettle springs or falls... Something like that. Why?

Kettle Falls. Good area for deer and turkeys. I've shot bear near there.
I thought you might be talking about Barstow California, wasn't sure.
I couldn't care less about what anybody says..............

Would love to hear a report!

How was it?

I had a great time there: lots of deer, the stands are nice, but also lots of opportunities for still/blind  hunting. I had a shot at a spike, but did not take it.  There was a 10 year old girl there with her dad, and she had a good 9 yard shot at a spike, but the arrow was high and the deer ducked out of the way.  The 15 year old kid who was there with his dad shot a very nice 3x3 from a ladder stand in the timber off a game trail. He was so stoked, and we were all very proud of him. He sat in that stand for 12 hours...no lie!!  Another guy took a shot at a 4x4 and his release misfired and the arrow flew off into the ground...he was bummed....I think the same guy had another misfortunate experience with another buck...oh well!  All in all, lots of deer, great cabins, great people, and unbelievable habitat.

I had a multiseason tag this year, so I just shot a buck yesterday, otherwise I was planning on going back there for late season.  Good luck to ya'll if you decide to go and sorry it took me so long to report back.

Are you booked up for Gallo Springs?  Looking at making my decisions today on a hunt over there.
