Wynoochee Elk!

Well I know its a little late to be asking but I have been scouting the Wynoochee Unit with little luck besides seeing a ton of bear and bear sign. The unit seems like it would have good opportunities judging on its size but so far i have stumbled on to one small herd in the Donkey creek Rd area but its very close to the Road "not my style". I know its western Wa jungle hunting at its best but any insight on the unit for this upcoming archery season would would be great!

I used to know it very well, but times have a changed in the Nooch. Especially with the paving all the way to the lake, I cannot imagine that this half of the unit will improve much.
 
I liked the nooch back when the washboard was so bad it would discourage travel up there...

killed a bear out off donkey creek last week we were out there for 4 days only seen 3 cows
work hard but hunt harder
