2nd deer tag?
« on: August 23, 2011, 11:35:55 AM »
After you harvest a deer, can you apply for a second tag?  My barber was telling me this yesterday, and cant seem to find that in the rules.   :dunno:  any help in this would be great.

the only way i know how to get a second deer tag is to apply and be selected for a special permit.

Certain land owner tags for depredation can be given out after the fact.  Maybe he talking about that.  I have also heard that master hunters can put their name on a depredation list and possible get called if land owners are having problems as the season progresses.   :dunno: :dunno:

My guess is he is what I call a "used to be" and no longer hunts, possibly from a different state also.

Well, there are deer on whidbey....but they are the size of a large chihuahua  :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:  Maybe that is why they give out extra tags....so you can make a meal if you kill two.  LMAO....
