Which one?
« on: August 25, 2011, 10:13:05 AM »
So after long and careful consideration I think my hunting success would be aided by a trail cam.  Also after seeing all the threads about stolen cameras and trying to get the purchase approved by the boss I'm looking at cheap ones, prefer <$150 but forsure not more than $200.
So pros, which cam do I get?

Wildgame x6c. Great camera and can be had for around $100 from B&H Photo. I have 3 and am very happy with them. Small, good battery life, work well in the winter (down to 14 degrees). Excellent pictures.

I have been very happy with my Primos TruthCam 35. Cabelas has them for $99.99. Great pics and great battery life. Camlockbox makes a box for them as well.

Cuddeback with flash instead of infared... i have one of each and can hardly tell the difference except in my bank, not too many people buy the one with flash anymore so you can find it on closeout anywhere between 130-200 just my  :twocents:

The x6c is no longer available at B&H. I am still looking for other suggestions if anyone can offer some. I would like to buy two or three cams if I can get good ones at a good price.

Moultrie M80! Takin over a thousand pics still 100% battery life. Has video modes with sound and different time lengths. It takes pics fast and very clear! Night flash kicks A! captures them way out there! Id go with the M80 if i were you  :IBCOOL:

Midway has the Stealthcam on sale for $74.99.  6MP, Infrared night flash.  Some of the guys on here have Stealthcams, and the pics look good.  I've got a Wildgame 3MP IR cam and like it.  Peruse some of the posts here and you can see the results on various cameras.
If it was easy, everybody would be doing it.

When Bernie Madoff did it, it's called a "Ponzi Scheme"
When Government does it, it's called "Social Security"
