Bought one 10 years ago on sale from Cabelas. Piece of junk. Have the time the spring in the bolt was not strong enough to ignite the primer. The first I missed at least 2 nice buck in MD because of this. Go out and shoot and see if you have the same problem

Just wanted to update this thread.

I also recently purchased this rifle. Being my first inline (always shoot trad. muzzies) I thought I was getting a smoking deal to walk out the door for less than $200. Well when I called CVA to ask about an owners manual/parts breakdown I was informed that this rifle is under recall.  :bash:  That'll teach me to bargain hunt without doing proper research. CVA would not comment on the reason for the recall but said they would exchange me for another model in their lineup. I just have to pay for shipping. I did some internet searching and didn't find much but a couple of articles eluding to barrel failure (claiming it will blow your face off). However, these articles were extremely biased against CVA as a whole and I just don't buy into CVA being a devious or malicious company so I'm not sure as to the validity of their claims. Either way there is something inherently wrong with this rifle so I would not recommend anyone purchasing one in the future and if you already own one you may want to contact CVA and get a replacement.
