squeeky pack frame.....
« on: August 29, 2011, 04:31:17 PM »
I know there is a forum just for equipment, but way more people read this part of the forum. Plus I use this frame for ELK HUNTING......... If I need to be bumped I understand.

I have an Alaskan outfitter pack from cabelas and the damn thing squeeks like crazy. i think it is where the material contacts the frame. I wrapped all the contact points with electrical tape but it didnt fix it. Any one else have this problem? What could I use to wrap the frame with?

I had that problem too.  Wrapped everything tight with electrical tape, helped a little but still squeaked.  My solution= new pack.  The badlands 2200 has a really nice feature that allows you to pack a quarter with ease on the outside of the pack.  Helped a friend pack out his moose and it worked great.   :twocents:
