heat has changed my plans.....
« on: September 03, 2011, 11:58:04 PM »
Has anyone else changed their plans due to the heat? I am too worried about the 12-14 hours it takes to get an animal out of my usual area to risk it in this heat. I will be hunting close to home in areas i can get my quad to for now. What about you?.........

No Way. gone in the morning. When it does cool down they will be going nuts! at 5000 ft it will be plenty cool at night to cool off meat especially if you get it boned out and get it near a cool creek.

No change here.  Plenty cool enough at night and early morning.

Cancelled by bear hunt for Wed.  Salmon fishing instead.  95 degree day on a boat v.s playing in the dry woods?  Kalama is the place for me.

No, still hunting the same private 1000+ acres in SE corner of WA.  Hoping for the usual cow elk and trophy muley/whitetail.
