High buck hunt trip cut short
«

Well short trip short story...Packed our camp in on wednesday set up and glassed the evening and checked out the country. Opening morning we glassed a few does and little bucks. After we watched them bed down we hiked around a little bit and caught this guy headed a little late to bed. 1st time in this area, 4th High buck hunt, 1st deer. Lotta blind luck. Pretty fun to have my father-in-law with me, wasnt expecting anything more then a fun camping trip but got lucky instead.

Congrats on a great buck.

Must have found him down low. I was very dissipointed when I woke up Thurs (at 2 am) to clouds covering the mountain tops
. 18 miles of hiking and glassing in drizzling rain sucks. I don't need to drive 3hrs to hunt deer in the rain.
Great job on the Buck!
Mind if I ask how far in you were?
