Small boat bottom fishing
« on: October 01, 2011, 11:15:36 PM »
Anyone know of a decent place to take a small boat (12') around Whatcom County to catch some flounder or soles?  It'd pretty much be a nice weather deal so this year may be out, but if we get a nice day I'd like to go get a few of 'em.

Also, what the heck would you use to catch the little buggers?

Thanks!  May your fish boxes be filled every trip!

Pretty much anywhere with a sandy bottom.  Herring works well.

Back in the day we would knock the mussels off the pilings and use the piling worms that were underneath. They worked great! Or just regular nightcrawlers.
Team nubby!

Any kind of jig you want as long as it's purple! I have done really well with the white/pink/purple patterned Pt. Wilson darts.
The reason there are so many Ruger upgrades is because they're necessary.
