Cleaning you Bino lenses

How do you guys go about cleaning your lenses? I spilled coffee on my ED3s yesterday and all I had on me to clean them was my shirt at the time. All I used that for was to soak up the coffee, I was very careful not to rub the lenses with the shirt, just soaked up the excess coffee. Well now I have smudges on the lenses that I would like to get rid of. I have cabelas lens pen but ive heard bad things about using a lens pen so I dont want to use it just yet until I get some reviews from you guys.

I use zeiss glasses wipes I found at the optical center of wal mart and an Oakley sunglass bag/cleaner.

Might as well take Huntbear's  advice and use steel wool.  The Ammonia in glass cleaners is toxic to glass coatings.  Chances your coatings have deterioriated some. 

Always carry a clean (clean) soft cloth with you.  A lens pen is a good idea too.  Just keep some in your pack or in the case with the bino.  I just use the brush end of the pen (never could bring myself to trust the other end), carefully dust of the big stuff and then breathe gently on the glass and clean it off with the cloth.  I usually wash off waterproof glass with a rinse under the tap, let it dry and clean up the water spots.  Keep the lenses coveres as much as you can put up with in the field too.  I also keep a spray bottle of the Zeiss cleaner in my pickup too.

If I'm at home, I blast it wtih compressed air to remove dust, particles.
I have a lens pen and have used it, provided by an optics distributor.
I also have microfiber towels and keep one clean for wiping lenses.
Burris recommends acetone for cleaning.
Nikon makes specific wipes.
Maybe call your local camera shop and ask if they'll clean them for you.

It's NOT a good idea to use Windex on any optics surface. Its formular contains ammonia, which is very detrimental to the coating and glass itself.  To remove smudge on my binoculars, I use the lens cleanning pen.  I would breathe onto the lens to let it form a moisture film.  Then, gently rub the lens using the felt pad end of the lenspen. If you see loose debris, try to brush them off first before using the pad.
