Short story about Byrans whitetail.  Bryan is the guy that got me into hunting 4yrs ago.  This is his 2nd deer in 9yrs of him hunting. First deer was the year befor this buck, also a nice frame 4x4.
Bryan had just taken some time off work, after a hemroid surgery. I talked him into going hunting with me and "staying at camp".  Hell, once he was up there I had him slowly walking little trails, and getting out of camp. On this day, we went to a new spot. I spotted a small goup of blackies on  the other side of a canyon.  We watched them for a wile, trying to make out any points.  When this buck came up from the canyon.
The year befor, he had taken my buck/shot, by spooking the deer i was watching , and then shooting it himself. Did the same thing to me that same year during spring turkey. And later that year during elk season.  Well, this time I was going to take the shot.  One problem. Its was at 383yrds and I had my boys .243 in hand.   I told Bryan , hurry up and shoot, since he had his .300wm and I didn't want to miss the chance to bring home meat.  Well, I must be his good luck charm, or just a good freind to let him take my shots. He dropped it in its tracks and then the work began. For me, that is. Because of the surgery, I had to cross the canyon, debomne the buck, and pack out befor dark.   Every year since we started hunting together, he has filled his tag.  And every year , we and a new story about how , I should be getting paid to be his giuld/packer/scout.
Great job on the mount Kuduman.  Some day , you'll be doing on for me.
