Got this one the last couple of days before Halloween 2009. He was in a clear cut bedded down with probably eight other deer, three smaller bucks and does. It was way nasty during the early morning( I was starting to get worried about trees and branches coming down on me), then it backed off mid morning which is when I found them. My first black tail, and probably the top one I'll ever get, but it's fun trying to get another every year. I've got better rain gear and optics this year and my mountain bike is out fitted better.... dude I'm getting lathered up.

This is an awesome thread! Good tips for sure! My best blackie thus far was taken in September so doesn't apply to this topic.
Bucklucky, you got some stud bucks there.

WT, BLR243, AND 3NAILS, YOU GUYS CAN TAKE ME HUNTN ANYTIME TO YOUR BLACKTAIL SPOTS.....
i gotta figure out how to put some of are blacktails on this site, but how do you do that when all you have is pictures, they arent on the camera they are all in are huntn album, OOHHH IDEA, we need to get the mods to put up a thread thing where we can post family huntn albums, but i guess that wouldnt do me any good cause i dont have a damn clue how to, these blacktail AKA grayghost threads just kill me everytime, cause its gonna be here in no time and gone again, and a fella can never get enough of blacktail...
