newish to washington still not a fully converted washatonian yet I still have not bought a northface jacket.

but I have my sone and Daughter with me Hunters ed classes completed in vegas which are transferable to any other state. I am not looking for anyones secret spots. just some decent areas to get myself and the kids and hope to get lucky my daugher is 17 sone is 12 both handle rifles and also Pistols and I taught both to be safe. and do not have to worry about them and firearms. being new to the state trying to figure out the areas and also the regs is a PITA (Pain in the Arse) but i been working on it. I have deer and elk west side my plan on getting my daughter east side deer and elk also. the terrain is not so bad and more of what we are used too being we hunted in Nevada before moving up here. I see a few names from some of the local gun forums I visit also. any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Justin

Well, it should probably be a Grundens jacket for the wetside...maybe a Carhart. :tung:
Anyplace?  Or do you have a distance you are trying to stay within?

Take advantage of the search feature on the site.

It would help to know a general area you intend to hunt, the westside is pretty broad.

Also, spend some time on the site and get to know the people on here, it may help.   :twocents:

Well, there's lots of info here and links to other parts of the web (DFW/maps).  You can take a look at harvest reports from DFW to get a good feel which GMUs produce lots of animals...but those probably have lots of hunters.  And there are maps online of wilderness areas, state forest, national forest, etc.  When you get it narrowed down a bit more, the search function on here can give you a few days worth of reading in some cases.
