Steel 4's Vs. Young Coyote= 1st coyote kill
« on: October 10, 2011, 01:15:20 PM »
I went looking for some quail and huns yesterday, and jumped this coyote out of the creek bottom. She ran 25 yards or so and stopped to look back so pulled up on her head and let her have it. It hit her hard and she was down within a couple yards. Not the most ideal coyote load but I was confident in it at that distance. It's been a good couple weeks with a bunch of firsts for me: coyote, salmon, and chukar!
Thanks for lookin'!
PS: Picture was taken back at the truck, so i had orange on for the birds. (for all you internet police out there  :chuckle: )

A dead Coyote is a good Coyote... I've head shot them with lead #6 and put them down... Good way to stackem up!
In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.

Don't underestimate those #4s.  They're deadly.  And it only takes one pellet to drop a bird!
If it was easy, everybody would be doing it.

When Bernie Madoff did it, it's called a "Ponzi Scheme"
When Government does it, it's called "Social Security"
