Well looks like I'm missing opening weekend this year. I've gotten all my deer on opening day. Hope I can still find my deer Monday.

me too! my (new) bride informed me a few months ago that she booked us plane tickets to Santa Cruz, CA for her best gal's wedding...

it's ok, as i will be hunting hard the next two weekends once all the weekend-worriors leave due to rain, wind, cold. late Oct is better for blackie on the coast  :twocents:

I missed all of early archery deer/elk, stuck in Alaska fishing halibut and salmon.

Two years ago my sister in-law got married on opening day. It sucked, but I did make it out for a morning hunt. I told her she picked a bad day to get married but she is a vegetarian so she did not understand what was wrong with missing the evening hunt. My father in-law who does not hunt even made a reference to it being opening day of deer season in his toast. it was pretty funny.
WDWF needs to get a clue before it's to late!!!

I'm trying not to miss the opener.  However, work necessities might relocate me to Dubai for a bit.  I'm currently working on finding another way, instead of me having to go there.
