Shouldn't there be meat hanging in the trees or do all of you carry a knife and a fork with you hunting.  :chuckle:

Looks like good times.
Just one more day

Looks like your "Pulled Pork" sammiches had a Russian twist...
Nothing witty here.... move along.

i dont drink that stuff, my buddy drinks it with rockstar.  I stay away from that kind.  Had a similar experience with monarch.  :chuckle:
these days i fill my flask with FIREBALL.
at camp i usually enjoy a vodka cranberry or OJ vodka. (sky vodka or platinum)

The little lady and I are packing up for another weekend warrior trip to our mule deer spot.
Leaving in the morning bright and early and coming home sunday evening to begin packing for our 10 day trip back to the same spot.
Definitely feeling the gas prices these days.  This will be our 4th trip over since July, but this is what we do.  We look forward to these trips all year and nothing can take them away from us.  Dad is getting excited for next week and i cant wait to get him back up in the woods.

We will be packing on monday and tuesday then my dad, uncle and brother are headed over to start setting up the big elk camp.
CANT WAIT!!! The rest of us will be over to camp on thursday or friday.  Then not be home till NOV 6th.  :hello:
Good luck to all!!!

 :hello:
Got back from gen. mule deer camp last night and I had 3 different emotions running thru my head.
Frustration, Motivation, Anxiety.
Here was our tally.
We saw:

6 very nice DEAD bucks hanging
1 HUGE 7x7 160" Mule Deer-Photos, killed during Muzzleloader season down the same road we walked down.
4 does
8 turkeys
10 ELK
29 Timber Tigers
3 black stump bears

All in all we had an amazing mule deer general season.   We still have 1 maybe 2 more deer hunts planned (muzzy and archery) and hopefully we can financially be able to take them.
Gotta love the Multi season tags.  Been huntin almost every weekend since Sept 1st.

We hiked and discovered a lot of cool areas and found some very cool spots that should prove valuable this next two weeks for ELK.
The one thing that i really have enjoyed by going to the same area in the woods for the past 4 weekends in a row is the changing of the seasons, leaves and weather.  The leaves in this area are such a golden bright yellow and red that you just have to stop and look.
The aspens are my favorite.

Tonight we begin repacking for the BIG elk camp trip.  Grocery shopping tomorrow and camp set up on wednesday.
10 Days in the woods chasing elk.... Cant wait!!! :IBCOOL:

I have also really enjoyed the time with my little lady in the woods.
She is becoming quite the little Hunter. :cmp1:

Here is a few photos from this past friday-sun trip.
Enjoy. :brew:
to be continued.....................
