Not much to it. Depends on where you live as to where you have to go. Check with your local PD. In Enumclaw for ex: I just went to the PD, filled out the paperwork, paid my fee and was fingerprinted. In about a week and a half, I went back and picked it up.

Uh, are you talking about a FFL, or a Concealed Firearm Permit?  I just got my FFL 03, which only required filling out a couple of forms and sending them to ATF and copies to head of local LE agency (PCSO in my case).  No fingerprinting required...  For the FFL 03, I just Googled it and located a good website which pretty much walked me through filling out the forms I downloaded from the ATF site. Took about a month to get my license in the mail.

That's why I was asking.  I went to a few sites last night that said it was hard to get everything right and if you don't, you get denied and would probably never be able to get it after that.  They were selling stuff though so, I took it with a grain of salt.  Just wondering if it was that difficult or detail oriented that I would need help.  I'd like to get my FFL class1 and don't want to screw it up and be out $200.

Reason I want it is the 30% savings on firearms and have the ability to order my firearms online and not have to pay someone else to have it shipped to them.

A person can get the 03 license (Curio and Relics) pretty easily.  The others will involve a meeting with your local ATF agent to make sure that you are a legitimate business.  You will have to provide them with a business license, and prove that you are doing it to generate revenue.  As far as the 30% savings, its not really that much if you shop around.  What you will save is the transfer fee and hassle of having to pick them up at an FFL.  Keep in mind that the State of Wa requires FFL holders to charge sales tax on transfers, even to themselves.  This is based on the market value of the firearm if you are ever audited, even if it was a gift and didn't cost anything.

With the 03 licence, can I still buy firearms off of the internet or do they need to be considered curio's/relics for me to get them?  Looking at buying a couple but, definately not relics.

Only firearms qualified as Curio & Relic (either on the ATF list, or over 50 years old).  There are several C&R forums that have good explainations of what you can do with a FFL 03, and it's restrictions.  That and the ATF FAQs page.
