I tried the Moccasin Joe brand and I had the same bad results the others have stated.  I will give the Carlton brand a try.

Im going to have issues with this. Gotta remember not to do my usual 2 squirts of cologne after my shower, and try really hard not to smoke a cigarette.. Guess its going to be Copenhagen wintergreen on opening day lol.. Aqua di gio and camel turkish silver isnt going to help me see deer lol

I do NOT put any of that on my body.  I put it on the fiber wicks  (Wear rubber gloves) or other things and then get way back with good wind to see what comes in.  If I am back 300 - 400 yards and have good wind.

I am I doing something wrong?

HUH,,? :yike:Well Thats crazy because thats all I have ever used and actually knows it works ....killed many bucks using Joes but I do read the label to see how old it is and have ordered it directly from them ...I have had them follow me many times and the best hunt I remember the most was I layed a trail walked up a grade about 2 miles sat down got out my chew  :chuckle and about 1/2 hour later I hear LIMBS BREAKING and I look down the grade and here is a nice 3x4 rubbing the hell out of this tree I grunted once and he was on me in minutes . this was the last week in October but I have not had much luck with it after Mid Nov...I also convinced my friends how it does work but you need to be where the deer are and have them crossing your path ...Thats why I prefer using old grades and if you find very fresh horning then you best lay yourself a scent trail and be patient ...another thing that you have to understand is scent control on your part ...Mainly your boots ...I leave my hunting boots outside and I PLACE THEM ON A PLASTIC BAG ...This works well to keep unwanted scent off the bottom of my boots..Just a little tib bit for ya  :tup:And do not leave home without a grunt tube because I have called many deer to me especially that last week in October  :twocents:

I have not had any success with moccasin Joe trying to use it up to try something that really works! Did I get a bad bottle or something
Yeah you did  :chuckle: but if they ARE NOT CROSSING YOUR PATH THEN IT IS NOT GOING TO WORK....Pay attention to fresh horning in late October then try it and be patient ...just sit and relax a couple hours ....and my best luck has ALWAYS been between 11am and 2:30 pm I no longer wake up at 5 am  :chuckle: :chuckle:  :twocents:

every year i take the tarsal gland from the buck i got, i freeze it for the next year, when the last weekend i take one of the glands and wipe it on my huntn clothes that never come in the house and most of the time i have a big pillow case that has brush in it from where i hunt that i put my clothes in and with the tarsal gland it ends up makin a pretty good cover scent, but nothin beats the favor of the wind and slow movemnts or if its bone dry and noisey walk like a deer, step step listen look, step listen look, and dont be affraid to make noise
my grandpa always said "if it aint broke dont fix it"
