First time out with the layout boat
«

Got to try out my 10' layout boat this morning. The birds were 15 -25 yds away. Awesome. After looking at these pics, I need to paint it marsh brown with green stripes and a few black accents. Also got to pull the trigger for the first time on wild birds with my damascus Lefever GE 12ga, made 1896. I just had it re-case colored. It really did the job well with 2.5" tungsten 5's:

Thanks. It's actually a converted sailboat. I cut the cockpit out so I can lay down in it. It's low and wide, with a removable skeg through the floor that keeps it stable. Got it for free on craigslist!

Looks real good. I converted a 10' Jon over for duck and fish, but we have not taken it out yet. I can't lie down, like that idea though. Congrats. Nice gun too.
