What did you find while hunting Vail Tree Farm?

Just seeing if anyone found anything out in the woods while hunting Vail this opening weekend besides deer and elk, tracks and *censored*.... lol

Oh and of course all of the Gut Piles!!

Found sign.  *LOTS* of sign.  Tracks, beds, crap piles.  No deer.  Didn't hear many shots, either.  Not more than 5 or 6 all day long.

Ya it was really slow up there opening weekend!!

It should be better this weekend with the rain!

I found some of the dumbest - or laziest- hunters on the planet :bash: no body would get farther than a 50 yards from their rigs. My partner and I were the only people we saw all weekend walking. people gave us weird looks, a couple asked us if we were having car problems. :chuckle:

this was my first and last year for modern firearm at vail, I am gonna cross that one off the old phuckit  list.

besides that I did find a lot of old bones, a ton of bear scat at regular intervals, two separate flocks of turkeys and a herd of elk.  I also saw so many deer I lost count by noon on saturday. they were pretty thick in spots.
