Hunters are from Pocatello.  Big honkin’ elk.  The other guy got the wolf from a tree stand after using a cow call.

Wolf was weighed at 220 lbs.

Hmmm those bows also appear to shoot 48 inch arrows.

Wow, you say that wolf weighed in at 220lbs. Is that about what they all weigh or is that a small one? I assume that elk went about 1500?

I don't buy the 220 pounds either, I think it's un usual for one to weigh more than 130 unless it has a belly full of meat. But it still looks like a big wolf and a hell-of-an-elk....  :chuckle:

Both are danged nice critters. But the wolf is no where near 220lbs, big even for a wolf, but as Bearpaw said, 130 is a very big wolf.  I have a book titled "Alaska's wolf Man" who was a Govt. wolf trapper/killer, in the book the biggest Alaska wolf he'd ever seen was 170lbs.
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.
If I ageed with you, then we'd both be wrong.

Thats awesome. Years back a buddy of mine shot one in Alaska with a longbow and he was told by the editor of a magazine (Primitive Archer :dunno:) or one of the other traditional mag's that it was the only one he personally knew of taken with Trad gear.

My cousin in Copper Center Alaska has been trying to get me to come up on an archery wolf hunt.  Gonna have to make it happen.
