Toutle self hunt
« on: October 25, 2011, 09:32:14 PM »
Well my elk hunt is falling apart. Had two hunting partners going with me to help pack. One just found out he is moving to Reno during the hunt and the other just found out tonight that his dad has to have open heart surgery and has to leave for AZ on Sunday and probably won't be back in time. I guess I will find out what it takes to get an elk out by myself. Should have spent a few more hours on the treadmill. Oh well can't let the tag go to waste after 7 years of putting in for it. Wish me luck.

Good luck!!!

If you get an elk down and have problems getting it out, you could always post up a thread requesting some quick help... You never know...

Also; remember to only shoot those uphill Bulls, not the downhill ones!

I would imagine without too much work you.could.find someone with a cable roll and for a case of beer or two.your elk will.be at the road. We help people it with the cable occasionally.

I was about to offer to go along but I checked when your hunt dates are and I will be gone. I have a 1,000 yard spool of mule tape you could barrow?
